A range of equipment has been generously donated to Bathurst Hospital by the Bathurst Hospital Auxiliary.
The donated items were presented to Bathurst Hospital staff by the Hospital Auxiliary on Wednesday, 15 February and include falls equipment, a blanket warmer, portable bladder scanner, Intensive Care transfer monitor and a range of other equipment.
General Manager of Bathurst Hospital, Sue Patterson said she was thrilled with the donations and praised the fundraising efforts of the Bathurst Hospital Auxiliary.
“Bathurst Hospital is so lucky to have such an amazing and hard-working Auxiliary, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them for all the great work they do," Ms Patterson said.
“The total amount donated was over $144,000 which is a monumental fundraising effort from all involved."
“The equipment donated will go to very good use, with equipment for the Medical and Surgical Wards, Intensive Care, Emergency Department, continence service, Operating Theatres and occupational therapy, to name a few."
“Bathurst Hospital would again like to sincerely thank the Bathurst Hospital Auxiliary for their kind donations."
Bathurst Hospital Auxiliary will also soon be holding the Bathurst Hospital Fete, their next major fundraising event. All money raised will help buy equipment for Bathurst Hospital. Details are:
