Medical services available in Dunedoo

Western NSW Local Health District, Dunedoo Multipurpose Service (MPS) and the Dunedoo Health Council would like to provide an update on medical services to the local community.

Appointments can be made with the doctor at the Family Medical Service on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. Bookings may be made on these days from 8:30am with the first appointment on each day at 9am. People may also ring the Service on Monday and Tuesday between 9am and 11am to make an appointment for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Please call (02) 6375 1303 to make a booking. Dr Alseneid from the Medical Service also wishes to advise the community that a female doctor will be available on all days.

Health Service Manager of Dunedoo MPS, Christine Warwicker would also like to advise the community that locum doctors continue to provide medical coverage at the MPS. Locum doctors are also available for GP appointments by phoning the MPS on (02) 6370 3000.

If you are sick outside GP clinic hours or if the matter is urgent please visit the Dunedoo MPS Emergency Department (ED). Call triple zero (000) for an ambulance for all emergencies.

If you visit the Dunedoo ED after hours or on the weekend, the Registered Nurse on duty will assess you and contact either the Remote Medical Consultation Service (RMCS) or the Patient Flow Unit in Dubbo for further assistance to help you.

The Dunedoo MPS and Dunedoo Health Council value the input of the local community and welcome questions, comments and suggestions about health services in the Dunedoo community. Community members who wish to address the Dunedoo Health Council are invited to write to: The Chair, Dunedoo Health Council, Dunedoo MPS, PO Box 21, Dunedoo NSW 2844.

However, if you have any questions or concerns about the health care you've received at Dunedoo MPS, please call the facility and ask to speak to the Health Service Manager directly on (02) 6370 3000.
