Come have a cuppa and a chat about mental health
Western NSW Local Health District is inviting interested community members, consumers and carers to come have a cuppa and a chat with us about mental health.

The events are being held in Mudgee, Wellington and Parkes and will be an opportunity for interested people to come and speak to mental health clinicians and managers in an informal manner and ask questions about mental health and mental health services available in the region.

District Consumer & Carer Coordinator, Jennifer Coote said the events are a good opportunity for people to come and have an informal chat with the Local Health District about mental health.

“Having a relaxed chat about mental health in an informal manner is something we want to give our local communities the opportunity to be part of,” Jennifer said.

“Sometimes people may feel uncomfortable talking about mental health, so we want to provide a relaxed environment for people to turn up and talk to us about their concerns, or the concerns they may have for a loved one.”

“We want to engage with our local communities and open a conversation on the very important topic of mental health, so we’d encourage you to pop down and have a cuppa and a chat with us.”

“We want to hear your suggestions for how we can improve our service, be it access to the building, your experience of the service or what information we provide on the website. We want to engage with the community and hear their suggestions for improvement.”
