The Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) is delighted to welcome the new Narromine Health Service Manager, Julie Kirk to the team.
The WNSWLHD Central Sector General Manager, Meegan Connors said, “It is fabulous to have someone with Julie's wealth of experience joining our team".
“Julie's background is in nursing and midwifery".
“Julie brings a fresh set of eyes and a passion for health to not only Narromine but the whole Local Health District".
For the past two and a half years Julie was the manager for a hospital in the Kimberly Region of Western Australia.
“The majority of my working life has been in NSW, I was also born in NSW. So coming back to Narromine, feels like coming home". Julie said.
“I am a trained Registered Nurse and Midwife, and have been in a number of management roles throughout my career so far".
“I am really looking forward to becoming part of the Narromine community. I am interested to understand what their health are and how I can as the Health Manager assist in providing the community with a safe and reliable health service". Julie said.
Meegan said, “Julie has extensive experience in working in rural and remote hospitals. This has included the use of virtual health and working with aboriginal patients and communities".
“I am excited to be leading the Narromine Health Service. I believe in innovation to improve how we can best deliver health care to our community and I am very excited to be taking on this new opportunity". Julie said.
To welcome Julie to the Narromine Health Service, an afternoon was held at the Health Service. Hospital Auxiliary Member, local Doctors, Narromine Shire Council Mayor, Cr Craig Davies, Narromine Shire General Manager, Jane Redden and long-time Narromine Doctor Robert Kirkby attended and gave Julie a very warm welcome to the town.
