Western NSW Local Health district feature exhibit at the Australian national field days

As many as 170 staff and volunteers manned the Western NSW Local Health District Feature Exhibit at the Australian National Field Days, held near Orange last week.

The event, in its 60th year, attracted more than 15,000 visitors through its gates over 3 days.

The Feature Exhibit - "Our Health District - Living Well Together" was a huge success with many visitors stopping in to access information, have a chat about their health or even have a health check!

Over the course of the 3 days nearly 400 men's health checks were completed and 100 mammograms were completed on women.

"The event was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our many and varied services," said Public Relations Manager, Rebekah Bullock.

"It was also a wonderful team building exercise which brought staff and volunteers from the Local Health District together in a very positive and unique way," she said.

"The perfect weather was a bonus!"
