Exciting news for expecting mothers in the Narromine area, with a new midwifery service starting this year.
Narromine Health Service Manager, Julie Kirk said, “The new service will provide antenatal and postnatal care services to local mothers and families in February”.
“The new service will work closely with the existing Aboriginal and Maternal Infant Health Service (AMIHS) to support women in Narromine.
The service will operate weekly, offering care for women through the Rural Maternity Service and Dubbo Antenatal Clinic.
This service will work in partnership with other Health Service’s and provide support for women who chose to birth outside of Dubbo”. Julie said.
Women wanting to see the Rural Maternity Service in Narromine for their care can contact the midwife on 0437 004 918 to organise an appointment.
Narromine Health Service will remain a non-birthing facility through this change in service.
