Exciting news for expecting mothers in the Trangie and Warren areas, with a new midwifery service starting this year.
Trangie and Warren Health Service Manager, Sharon Ryan said, “The new service is starting at both Multi Purpose Services and will provide antenatal and postnatal care services to local mothers and families in February”.
“The new service will operate regularly providing services in Warren 3 weeks a month, and Trangie 1 week a month. Care for women will be provided through the Rural Maternity Service and Dubbo Antenatal Clinic.
This service will work in partnership with other Health Service’s and provide support for women who chose to birth outside of Dubbo”. Sharon said.
Women wanting to see the Rural Maternity Service in Warren or Trangie for their care can contact Warren Hospital on 6847 5400 to organise an appointment.
Warren and Trangie Multipurpose Service will remain a non-birthing facility through this change in service.
