A familiar face will be joining the Lachlan Health Service Redevelopment Project Team. Lachlan Health Service is proud to announce that Mrs. Deborah Hunter has been appointed to the role of Project Officer.
Mrs. Hunter comes to the new position with extensive knowledge of the Health Service, as well as the Parkes and Forbes communities. She has lived in and around the Parkes Local Government Area for a considerable time and has worked in both Forbes and Parkes in various roles for the Health Service, including her most recent position as Nurse Manager for Parkes Hospital.
Lachlan Health Service Manager, Liz Mitchell said Mrs. Hunter will be the critical link between Lachlan Health Service and the community as they journey towards the redevelopment of Parkes Hospital and the refurbishment of Forbes Hospital and its health services.
“Deborah has demonstrated her commitment to our Health Service and communities time and again, as both an integral part of her professional role and as a community member.
“The role of the Redevelopment Project Officer is to act as the liaison between our communities in Forbes, Parkes and surrounding towns, the Lachlan Health Service, our staff and the project teams from Health Infrastructure and TSA Management” said Ms Mitchell.
The project team has been working with Lachlan Health Service and the communities for nearly a year in the planning stages of the redevelopment project. One of the primary responsibilities of the new Project Officer will be to oversee the planning, consultation and communication amongst key stakeholders, with particular focus on ensuring the communities are kept informed as this complex but exciting project moves forward.
