The Blayney Health Expo is on again where community members can learn all about the Blayney HealthOne services and Interagencies that are available to them.
Providers who offer a service within the Blayney Local Government Area or who provide an outreach service to residents of the Blayney Shire, will showcase their services to members of the community at the 3rd Blayney Health Expo being held on 17 March.
The Expo hopes to reach Blayney Shire residents who may be unaware of services and support agencies available to help them, from either within the shire or as an outreach service, said Organiser Sally Bembrick, of HealthOne Blayney.
“If you have a question in relation to service provision within the Blayney Shire, the Expo is the ideal place to be,” she said.
Ms Bembrick said this year’s Expo has again attracted a level of interest and support that is heartening.
As well as the Blayney Community Health Team and Blayney HealthOne, the Health Expo has attracted a range of services including Uralba Hostel, Migrant Support, Australian Hearing, Blayney Branch Diabetes Australia, Relationships Australia (Bathurst Centre), Meals on Wheels, Wontama Aged Care, CentrePoint Indoor Sporting and Aquatic Centre, Evans Community Options, Bathurst Women’s Refuge, Aged Care Assessment Team, Benevolent Society, Central West Community College, Catholic Community Services, Carewest and Women’s Health, Sexual Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs services from the Western NSW Local Health Network.
Acclaimed speaker Dr Sandra Cabot will be attending the Expo between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
Dr Sandra Cabot is a renowned and highly-sought after speaker on medical matters for women. At the Expo she will discuss a wide variety of issues that were raised during the previous evenings “Womens Health Matters” seminar.
“The Blayney Health Expo is a great opportunity to see what services are available in Blayney and people can also discuss aspects of women’s health with h Dr Cabot,” said Ms Bembrick.
The Blayney Health Expo will be held on Thursday, 17 March at the IGA Plaza in Blayney from 10am to 2pm. The Blayney Rotary will once again be providing a barbecue on the day.
