Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment’s Name The Crane Competition

The Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment team and Broad Construction Services have launched a competition to name the crane that was recently erected onsite to progress construction on the $91.3M redevelopment.

“We think such an impressive crane deserves a name and we’d like to ask the local primary students to help us out,” Dubbo Health Service General Manager, Debbie Bickerton said.

“We’re inviting local students to think of a creative name for the crane and tell us why they chose that name as well as colour in the entry form for display purposes,” said Ms Bickerton.

Name the Crane Competition is open to all primary aged students in Dubbo and the surrounding towns of Wellington, Gilgandra, Narromine as well as the smaller towns in between.

The Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment is doing the competition in partnership with the main works builder, Broad Construction Services who has kindly donated the prizes, which include toy cranes, t-shirts and a $1000 hardware gift voucher to the winning student’s school.

Entries close on Friday 18 July, 2014.

Dubbo Health Service plans to display some of the best colouring in entries at the hospital.

The winning student will receive the opportunity to name the crane and will be invited, along with their family, to attend the official crane naming ceremony onsite on a date to be determined.

As part of the terms and conditions of the competition, there can only be one entry per child.

Students and teachers will also be able to collect the entry form from the Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment wall, which is located in the main corridor of the hospital, or the form can be downloaded from the Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment website:
