A new innovative program being offered by Weddin Day Therapy at Grenfell Community Health will give participants an opportunity to challenge their brains.
The group will be run by Leesa McCue, Diversional Therapist and Elly Schiller, Social Worker for six seeks from mid-July at Grenfell Community Health.
Coordinator of Weddin Day Therapy Helen Denovan said challenging the brain can assist in memory function, and the “Memory Gym” program aims to provide physical, social and emotional wellbeing for those who want to continue to challenge their brain function.
“The program will include some physical routines, memory and word games and some reminiscing and storytelling activities,” Ms Denovan said.
Please call the Grenfell Community Health Centre on 6349 1777 to book a spot in this group by Friday 11 July. People unable to attend the July group should call and leave an expression of interest as it is anticipated the program will be repeated if there is sufficient demand.
