The Western NSW Local Health District has announced a new provider for public radiology services across the region.
Alfred Imaging (trading as Alfred Imaging Regional) has been awarded the tender to provide the radiology services across the District after a rigorous tender process and will commence on 1 November 2014.
“Following the expiration of the current radiology contracts and ensuing tender process we are excited to welcome Alfred Imaging on board to partner with us to develop our medical imaging services,” said Steve Adams, General Manager, Imaging Services.
“Alfred Imaging are an independently owned Diagnostic, Nuclear and Interventional Imaging Services Provider employing more than 120 staff and whose Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Specialists currently provide services to a range of metropolitan, regional and private hospitals in NSW,” said Mr Adams.
“We recognise and wish to acknowledge the contribution that the previous radiology providers have made over the years,” he said.
“The District is committed to supporting our clinicians and improving patient outcomes and we believe there will be opportunity to further develop our services with Alfred Imaging on-board.”
Managing Director Dr Julie Schatz said Alfred Imaging is looking forward to working with services in the District including BreastScreen, services at Bathurst and Dubbo and 11 other health services across the District.
“We believe in delivering a consistently high level of customer service and understand the importance of developing strong collaborative partnerships with Hospitals in the District,” said Dr Schatz.
“All of our specialists will be focused on delivering a high quality, responsive and personable imaging service for patients and health care providers within the WNSWLHD” she said.
