Donations have made it possible for Dubbo Hospital to purchase three new wheelchairs.
Manera Heights Motel owners, Trevor and Joanne Kratzmann and the Dubbo Hospital Pink Ladies donated over $4,300 to purchase the new wheelchairs.
The wheelchairs are a unique design not previously seen in Dubbo until some were purchased as part of Stages 1 and 2 of the Dubbo Hospital redevelopment project.
The new wheelchairs are an improvement on the current models and have been designed for additional stability and durability.
Pink Lady President Jane Grindrod said she is very pleased the Dubbo Hospital Pink Ladies have been able to donate money to help purchase the new equipment.
“We see the demand for wheelchairs by patients at Dubbo Hospital and it is fantastic that the generosity of the community has allowed for this new equipment to be purchased,” Ms Grindrod said.
Manera Heights Motel owners, Trevor and Joanne Kratzmann said they are pleased to show their support to the Hospital and the services it provides to the local community and to families throughout the region.
“With both of us being former Registered Nurses, we understand the difference equipment like this can make in providing patient care,” Trevor and Joanne said.
