Due to unforeseen circumstances the Walgett Multipurpose Service (MPS) official opening this week had to be postponed. The rescheduled date is Thursday 29th September, and once again the Walgett community is invited to the official opening of the Walgett MPS following the completion of the redevelopment project.
The $2 million project involved two major improvements to the facility including a new entrance to the Emergency Department and new ambulance entry.
Staff and the community will both benefit from the changes made to the Emergency Department, with services now closer to the main section of the hospital.
The opening is an opportunity for the community to mark the official completion of the redevelopment project, and will also feature the unveiling of new Aboriginal art. A number of official guests will be attending on the day.
