Meet one of our dedicated staff, Rochelle Longhurst. Rochelle works at Canowindra Community Health.
Q: What is your role at Canowindra Community Health?
I am currently employed as the Child and Family Health Nurse. In this role I support and promote the health and wellbeing of children and their families. This includes, but is not limited to things such as immunisation, child health checks, linking families to other services, home health visits to newborns and their mothers and providing information and education about health and safety.
Q: What days do you work?
I work Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I usually work from 8am to 4:30pm but some days I work from 8:30am to 5pm.
Q: What do you most enjoy about your job?
I enjoy working with children and their families/carers to help support them at different stages of their family journey. I like the way children and families are so different and therefore my role can change depending on the needs or wants of the clients. I love babies and the possibilities we have to help them grow and thrive in their environment.
Q: How do people get to see you?
