Over the past month, hospital doctors have been available to provide medical services at the Dunedoo Multipurpose Service (MPS) Emergency Department. When not at the MPS, the doctors are working at the Family Medical Service in Dunedoo to provide non-emergency General Practice services for the community.
Dunedoo MPS Health Service Manager Christine Warwicker said the new hospital doctors have settled in well and have enjoyed working with the staff at the MPS and meeting members of the local community.
“The hospital doctors have provided an excellent service during the week and it has been great to have them available for emergency health services as needed,” Ms Warwicker said.
“On weekends, the Emergency Department has continued with its usual practice of using the support of the Remote Medical Consultation Service,” Ms Warwicker said.
For people who are not sure where to go if they need general medical care, here is some information that may assist.
