'Eyes on Diabetes' is the theme for this year's World Diabetes Day which will be celebrated in Canowindra on 14 November.
World Diabetes Day is an international event held every year to raise awareness about diabetes. The focus in 2016 is the importance of screening to ensure early diagnosis of Type Two Diabetes and appropriate treatment to reduce the risk of serious complications.
Canowindra Primary and Community Health Centre, in conjunction with the Canowindra Pharmacy will be hosting a World Diabetes Day display on Monday, 14 November. The display will be located on Gaskill Street in front of the IGA from 10am until 1pm and will be supported by our local Pharmacist, Diabetes Educator and Dietitian.
The stall will be offering blood sugar checks, dietary advice, general information and more! Visit our display on Monday 14 November at IGA to learn more about diabetes.
