- COVID-19 Vaccination
Western NSW Local Health District provides support for the Federal Government’s vaccination program being rolled out through General Practitioners, with the provision of COVID-19 vaccination services to our communities. For other vaccination providers, use the online clinic finder.
In Australia COVID-19 vaccinations are free and we encourage all eligible people in our District to have both doses of a vaccine as soon as possible.
We will aim to vaccinate priority groups first, including aged care workers, disability workers, Aboriginal people and people over 16 with an underlying medical condition or disability.

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine locally
In addition to our clinics, COVID-19 vaccination is available through GPs, respiratory clinics, Aboriginal Medical Services and select pharmacies across our District.
Our staff operate a Mobile Community Vaccination Service delivering vaccinations to other communities across our footprint.
Please note: some dates may change, so keep checking this webpage and our Facebook page and your other local news providers for details about clinics in your location.
Which vaccines are available?
Pfizer (adult & paediatric) and Moderna vaccines may be available through our vaccination services. Both vaccines have been shown to be very safe, and extremely effective in stopping people becoming very sick, or even dying, if they have Covid-19.

Decisions about which communities we visit, and the order of those visits, are made following consideration of factors such as:
- Which communities have higher populations of vulnerable and high priority groups,
- Locations where vaccination availability is lowest and potentially not available through the other providers,
- Latest vaccination rate data for various
communities, and - Logistics such as the supply and transport of vaccine.
Other providers may also be offering COVID-19 near you. Visit the Vaccine clinic finder or call the NSW Vaccination number on 1800 571 155 to register for appointments with these other services.
