Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme
The Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) is a subsidy program which provides financial assistance to help with travel and accommodation costs for people (and eligible escorts) who need to travel long distances to access specialist treatment not available locally.
Patients travelling at least 100 kilometres each way or at least 200 kilometres per week cumulative distance, are eligible to apply for IPTAAS subsidies.

Trip Planner
The Trip Planner is a pocket/wallet sized guide which was developed in 2014 by Bathurst Health Council in collaboration with Bathurst Community Transport. The revised 2016 edition has been funded by Western NSW Local Health District.
Trip Planner provides a wealth of information on health and medical travel from Bathurst, using Public Transport. It includes options for how to access services in Orange, Lithgow and Sydney.
