Bathurst Health Service is a Level C referral facility within the Western NSW Local Health District. The hospital provides a number of acute specialities and has active Hospital in the Home and primary Community Health Services which include the surrounding townships of Blayney, Oberon, Perthville, Hill End, Sofala and Rylstone.

Bathurst Health Service has a strong partnership with the University of Western Sydney, conducting research and providing training opportunities for fourth year medical students. The facility has a strong partnerships with several Universities, providing student clinical placements, education and patient referral opportunities.
