We offer a diverse range of services to women during pregnancy, birth and early parenting at various locations around our district, including:

Orange
Orange Health Service – Women’s and Infants Unit
Services offered:
- Antenatal care – For women with normal pregnancies.
- GP Shared Care – Partnership with a midwife or doctor from the hospital and your GP.
- Orange Midwifery Group Practice (OMGP) – Know Your Midwife program provides care by a known midwife during your pregnancy, labour, birth and during the postnatal period.
- Aboriginal Maternal Infant Health Service – Please see local facility for information to access
this service. - High Risk Obstetric Clinic – Obstetric medical officers offering antenatal care to women with complex pregnancies.
- Visiting Foetal Maternal Specialist– Available once per month to support women with complex pregnancies.
- Private Obstetricians – Pregnancy care from a private obstetrician in Orange of your choice.
- Community Midwifery Program (CMP) – Care for women in their home following the birth of their babies up to 2 weeks postnatally.
- Childbirth Education Classes.
- Public and private gynaecology services.

Dubbo Health Service – Maternity Services
Services offered:
- First Visit – Comprehensive medical and obstetric history taking that referral to other services that may be required.
- Midwives Clinic – Antenatal care for women with normal pregnancies.
- GP Shared Care – Partnership with a midwife or doctor from the hospital and your GP.
- Western Midwifery Group – Care by a known midwife during your pregnancy, labour, birth and during the postnatal period.
- AMIHS – Referral to a midwife and Aboriginal Health Worker for antenatal care.
- Day Assessment Unit – For women who may require additional assessment and care during pregnancy.
- High Risk Obstetric Clinic– Obstetric medical officers offering antenatal care to women with complex pregnancies.
- Private Obstetricians – Pregnancy care from a private obstetrician in Dubbo of your choice.
- Community Midwifery Program (CMP) – Care for women in their home following the birth of their babies up to 2 weeks postnatally.
- Childbirth Education Classes.
- Public and private gynaecology services.

- High Risk Obstetric Clinic– Obstetric medical officers offering antenatal care to women with complex pregnancies.
- Outreach Antenatal Clinic – By midwives to Rylstone and Gulgong once a month.

Bourke
Bourke Multipurpose Service – Community Health
Services offered:
- First Visit – Comprehensive medical and obstetric history taking that referral to other services that may be required.
- GP Shared Care – Partnership with a midwife or doctor from the hospital and your GP.
- Visiting Specialist Obstetrician – Pregnancy care for women on a monthly outreach service from Dubbo, normally with your GP or a midwife at the Community Health Centre.
- Midwife and Obstetrician Shared Care – Pregnancy care for women in partnership with a midwife and the visiting Obstetrician from the birthing hospital in Dubbo.
- Postnatal Care – Follow up care post birth when you return to Bourke up to 7 Weeks postpartum. Home visiting is subject to a maximum travelling distance.
- AMIHS– Referral to a midwife and Aboriginal Health Worker for antenatal care.
- Childbirth Education Classes.

- Visiting Specialist Obstetrician – Pregnancy care for women on a monthly outreach service from Dubbo, normally with your GP or a midwife at the Community Health Centre.
- Postnatal Care – Follow up care post birth when you return to Coonamble up to 7 Weeks postpartum. Home visiting is subject to a maximum travelling distance.

Cowra Community Health – Early Parenting Services
Services offered:
- Child and Family Health – Universal home visits for new mothers to assist the transition of early parenthood into your home.
- 0-4 year Clinics – Held at the health service 3 days a week for development checks (Blue Books).
- Immunisation Clinics – (book appointment).
- New Parents Group – For new parents and their baby from birth to 3 months. Supported guest speakers from Allied Health Team and other agencies.
- Aqua – Water therapy for postnatal mothers (seasonal).
- Lactation Consultant – Ongoing consultation and breastfeeding support.
